基本 and Transitional Studies

基本 & Transitional Studies offers a variety of programs to help learners of all levels, providing the education needed to prepare for college and career readiness.

英语 as a Second Language

英语 as a Second Language (非母语英语课程) classes are offered to help non–native speakers to communicate in 英语.

Adult 基本 Education

Adult 基本 Education (ABE) classes are for adults who are already proficient in the 英语 language but wish to improve their basic reading, 写作 and math skills. ABE classes are also for a student whose placement test results require that they improve their basic skills before they head into college–level courses.

General Educational Development

General Educational Development (格®) prep classes are available to prepare for taking the 格® test, a placement test that qualifies one for college–level courses.

High School +

High School + is for adult students who don’t have a high school diploma or a 格. HS+ students can receive a high school diploma by demonstrating their competence in reading, 写作, and math within high school subject areas.

Integrated 基本 Education & Skills Training

Integrated 基本 Education & Skills Training (I–BEST) programs create opportunities at the basic skills level for both 非母语英语课程 and ABE students to enroll in college–level programs and earn a certificate in a high–demand industry.

Learning Center Seattle

Learning Center Seattle serves 16 to 21 year olds (16 before Sept. 1) and have not completed high school but want to earn their 格® to go on to college or technical training program (tuition–free) and/or start a career. 澳门正规网赌开户首页 who meet the age eligibility requirements and already have a 格® are also eligible to enroll in the Learning Center Seattle program.
